Local Performing Arts

  • "One Voice for Arts is made up of four nonprofit organizations based in Oak Park, Illinois. We bring high-quality, consistent, boundary-stretching live music, vocal, and theater performances to local residents as well as to the surrounding areas in Chicago and suburbs.

  • Our organizations are collaborative by nature, and coming together helps us to elevate, amplify, and express live arts in our community.

  • There are many ways to get involved with One Voice for Arts, from attending shows to becoming a sponsor of our performances."

  • Our mission is to make unique, high-quality live arts easily accessible for all residents of Oak Park and surrounding communities through our diverse experiences and collective passion for the arts.

  • We envision a future where Oak Park and surrounding communities become a destination for innovative and accessible live arts — both for locals and those who want to experience our unique communities.

  • One Voice For Arts is a non-profit organization, and your donations help support us.

We Are ...

Pro Musica Youth Chorus

Pro Musica Youth Chorus educates and empowers singers from Kindergarten through high school by offering varied and exceptional musical experiences.  The Chorus provides voice training and performance opportunities through a choral program led by professional musicians in four different ensembles.  Weekly after-school rehearsals and concerts throughout the season give Pro Musica singers a positive life-changing musical experience that they will carry through the rest of their lives.

The Oriana Singers

The Oriana Singers have been presenting innovative choral performances since 1979. Led by noted conductor William Chin, they have toured nationally, internationally, and in Chicagoland. Their mission has expanded to fostering collaborations across disciplines with other artists and nurturing emerging choral ensembles such as the community chorus City Voices. The six-voice work of The Oriana Singers is imaginative, eclectic, and impeccably rehearsed, featuring leading vocalists and collaborating instrumentalists who have been called “world-class” by internationally versed listeners.

The Oak Park Festival Theatre

Oak Park Festival Theatre is the Midwest’s oldest professional classical outdoor theater. Founded in 1975, our summer productions of Shakespeare and other theatre masters are staged in idyllic Austin Gardens in the heart of downtown Oak Park. Oak Park Festival Theatre explores our shared humanity by telling stories that stand the test of time. By looking to our past and re-imagining the familiar, we hold a mirror up to the times in which we live, bringing us all a little closer.

The Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest

Founded in 1931, the award-winning Symphony of Oak Park & River Forest is one of the oldest community orchestras in the country. The orchestra performs the best in symphonic repertory featuring world-class soloists as well as sponsoring an annual concerto competition, paid internships for string student musicians, and free concert admission for students through college. The orchestra is proud to have hosted Riccardo Muti, Music Directory of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, for open rehearsals for over a decade.
