Local Performing Arts

  • "One Voice for Arts is made up of four nonprofit organizations based in Oak Park, Illinois. We bring high-quality, consistent, boundary-stretching live music, vocal, and theater performances to local residents as well as to the surrounding areas in Chicago and suburbs.

  • Our organizations are collaborative by nature, and coming together helps us to elevate, amplify, and express live arts in our community.

  • There are many ways to get involved with One Voice for Arts, from attending shows to becoming a sponsor of our performances."

Misson

  • Our mission is to make unique, high-quality live arts easily accessible for all residents of Oak Park and surrounding communities through our diverse experiences and collective passion for the arts.

Vision

  • We envision a future where Oak Park and surrounding communities become a destination for innovative and accessible live arts — both for locals and those who want to experience our unique communities.

The Oak Park Festival Theatre

Oak Park Festival Theatre is the Midwest’s oldest professional classical outdoor theater. Founded in 1975, our summer productions of Shakespeare and other theatre masters are staged in idyllic Austin Gardens in the heart of downtown Oak Park. Oak Park Festival Theatre explores our shared humanity by telling stories that stand the test of time. By looking to our past and re-imagining the familiar, we hold a mirror up to the times in which we live, bringing us all a little closer.
